Carl Willis Preston

Carl Willis Preston, 57, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024. He was born April 6, 1967, to Inda Winnex Preston and the late Ronald Preston.Carl had many jobs throughout his life, but specifically worked at Bassett Furniture for several years. He attended Mayo Missionary Baptist Church. Carl loved the Dallas Cowboys football team. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing and golfing. More than anything, he loved spending time with his daughter, Destiny.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Donna Marshall Preston; daughters, Latorra Preston and Destiny Preston; son, Brandon Martin; sisters, Suzette Farris (Taylor) and Salena Preston; brothers, Ronald Preston (Melissa) and Sean Preston; and grandchildren, Justice Martin and Serenity Martin.The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Preston Dodson Family Cemetery on Cameron Road Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
