Carol Gammon Combs

Carol Gammon Combs, 81, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024. Carol was born on April 21, 1943, in Yanceyville, NC to the late Ruthie Hamlett Adkins and the late Drewery Levi Gammon. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Mr. Billy Gene Combs.

Carol was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a breakfast coordinator at Hampton Inn Hotel previous to her retirement.

Carol is survived by two daughters; Teresa King of Burlington, NC and Joyce Sullivan (Tim) of Alabama; a son; Levi Combs (Tracy Atkins); eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and brother and sister in law; George and Beatrice Combs, and their daughter, Angela.

In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was predeceased by a sister; Ruthie Mae Adkins, and two brothers; James and Mike Adkins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
