Carol Midkiff Willis Mills

Ms. Carol Midkiff Willis Mills, age 89, of Greenville, NC and formerly of Mount Airy passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the MacGregor Downs Health and Rehab Center in Greenville, NC. She was born in Surry County, October 24, 1934, the daughter of the late George W. and Rosa Rakes Midkiff. Ms. Mills worked for many years in cosmetic sales with Belk Stores, Inc. of Mount Airy. Surviving is her daughter, Rhonda Willis Harrell and her fiancé, Paul Lengyel; son, Brian Clay Willis; grandchildren, Brittany Taylor Harrell, Lindsay Willis Zimmerman, Morgan Willis Hunt and spouse, Danielle, and Zachary Brian Willis; great grandchildren, Clayton Freeman Zimmerman, Audrey Willis and Ariel Willis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Colleen Midkiff Marion, Ramona Midkiff Hutchins and Kathryn Midkiff Barr and brothers, Thurmond Midkiff, James Midkiff and Keith Midkiff. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Chapel of Mount Airy with Rev. Richard Lehman officiating. Interment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Friday August 16, 2024, 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
