Carole Sue Davis

Our dear Carole Sue St. Clair Davis has gone to be with the Lord after a long battle with dementia. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Tom Davis, her three sons, Greg Baugess (Sandy), Jon Baugess, Dalton Baugess (Laurie), four stepchildren, Kristy Massey (Randy), Jason Davis (Tonya), Tara Perkins (Drew), Lesley Smith (Bob), fourteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and brother.

To know Carole was to know grace, beauty, and humility. She never had an unkind word for anyone. Carole was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lifelong antiques collector, and she and Tom would spend hours browsing antiques stores. They took weekend road trips, often driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway in their 280ZX with the t-tops off. Carole also loved going to the beach; it was truly her happy place. We are forever blessed and grateful to have known and loved her.

The family wishes to especially thank Skye Armfield, her loving caregiver, and Good Samaritan Hospice.

The funeral will be held at College Lutheran Church in Salem, Virginia on Friday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly contribute to the Roanoke Angels of Assisi or Good Samaritan Hospice of Roanoke.
