Carolyn Ann Gordon

Carolyn Ann Gordon, 74, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland Joseph Gordon Sr. and Ruth Cathleen Gordon; her son, Matthew Wayne Anderson; her daughter, Carolyn Ann Maynard; and her brothers, Larry Wayne Gordon and Cleveland “Joe” Joseph Gordon Jr.

Carolyn was an animal lover and shared her life with many beloved pets over the years. She had a special fondness for one of her pit bulls, Cocheese, and a cherished cat who brought her great comfort and joy.

Left to treasure her memory are her sisters, Ruth Raby “Kathy” of Roanoke, and Sandra Gordon Alcorn of Montvale; her son, Michael Anderson Jr. of Roanoke; her son-in-law, John Maynard “Vince” of Rocky Mount; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at a later date.
