Carolyn Gordon Holloway

Carolyn Gordon Holloway, 82, of Salem, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2025. Born on October 16, 1942 to her parents the late Everett and Josephine Gordon. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jack Gordon; her sister, Barbara Mays; and her beloved dog, Cody.

Carolyn is survived by her brothers, Larry Gordon (wife Becky), Robert “Corky” Gordon (wife Beth); her son, Randy Holloway (wife Lesley); her daughter, Cindy Craft (husband Mitch); grandkids, Samantha Hash (husband Joe), Nicole Pierce (husband Billy), Aubree, Patrick, and Zaelynn Holloway; as well as 6 great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to carry her love in their hearts.

Carolyn was a long time member of Riverside EMC and loved her church family. She retired from Medeco after18 years. Carolyn had a lifelong love for music, her family, and the Lord. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. Her kindness, faith, and gentle spirit touched many lives and she will be deeply missed.

All of Carolyn’s family would like to thank the staff at Star City Rehab for their kindness, support, and care they provided for her during her final days.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm. A service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Brian Gordon will be officiating the services. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of her life and the love she shared.
