Carolyn Hall Finney

Carolyn Ann Finney, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger Butler.

Survived by her brother, Bobby Hall; children, June (Russ) Tilley, David (Cheryl) Boskoski, and Greg Finney; grandchildren, Dallas Herring, and Christy Yates; great-grandchildren, Landon Myatt, Brooklyn Sheymour Herring, Noah Herring & Leah Herring.

Known as “Gee Gee” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Carolyn spent 30-plus years as a CNA caring for many patients who also became like family to her as she shared her heart in their lives.

A viewing will be held from 6:30 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, at John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem.

Private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice on 4751 Cove Rd, Roanoke, VA 24017.
