Carolyn Kay Crisco
Carolyn Kay Lawson Crisco, 74, of Elliston, Va. and formerly of Boissevain, Va., left this earth for her heavenly home on Friday, December 15, 2023.
Words will never express how truly blessed we all were to have the best momma, ma, and mawmaw in the world. You will never find a more caring, loving, and giving person. She taught us to live, love, and laugh at yourself. She loved Jesus and her family. As she struggled these last seven months with her health, she never gave up on life – still trying to live life to the fullest and laughing the whole way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Mildren Lawson; brother, Bink Lawson; and husband, Ronnie Crisco.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronnie Crisco, Jr. (Tammy); daughter, Wendy Bower (Jeff); precious grandkids who she loved so very much, Jeremy (#1 grandson), Devyn, Levi, and Allison K. (Missy Jane); sister, Pat Phipps; sisters-in-law, Irene Lawson and Beverly Riffe (Tom); brother-in-law, Randy Crisco (Jeanie); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Special appreciation is extended to Dr. Dominique Dempah and Dr. Andrew Fintel for the care and kindness shown to Carolyn.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Abundant Life Church located at 424 Chamberlain Lane in Salem, Va., where Carolyn held membership. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Todd Hallinan officiating. Bring your smile and laugh as those were the things she loved.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions are suggested to the Blue Ridge Cancer Center. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.
You will forever be our Sunshine. Love you Momma.
