Carolyn Marshall Kessinger

Carolyn Sue Marshall Kessinger, 78 of Blacksburg, Virginia departed this life February 4, 2025 in the loving care of Heritage Hall-Blacksburg. Born in Giles County, Virginia on June 4, 1946 she was a daughter of the late Levi S and Ruth Kanode Marshall.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Don Marshall Sr., and a sister, Bonetta Marshall.

Left with beloved memories of Carolyn are her daughter, Kim Medley (Stephen); her loving sister, Loretta Tickle (Lester); sister-in-law, Rosemarie Marshall; nieces and nephews, Don Marshall Jr, Pam Albert, Yvette Pennington, Yvonne Harris, Jeffery Tickle, and Todd Tickle; many great-nieces and nephews; and cousins, Linda Diane Nunnally, Sammy Marshall, Eddie Kendall, Sandra Mullins, and Henrietta Marshall.

The family wish to thank the staff of Heritage Hall Blacksburg for the loving and special care they gave to Carolyn where she resided for over 11 years.

A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Birchlawn Burial Park with Pastor Reggie Britts officiating. Tithing, as an act of faith, was very important to Carolyn throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Pembroke Christian Church or any charitable organization that serves the needs of others.
