Carolyn Mustain Haymore
Carolyn Mustain Haymore, 83, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born in Danville, VA on September 5, 1941 to the late Lelia May Hubbard and the late Clyde Mustain. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Charlie Malloy Haymore.
Carolyn was of the Christian faith and a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, where she loved singing in the choir. Carolyn was an executive secretary at Dan River Mills for 47 years, previous to her retirement. She had a special love for sewing and baking and loved to travel and went on many cruises to different countries.
Carolyn is survived by two daughters; Tamara Lewis (John) and Pamela Hammitt (John) of Fredericksburg, VA, a son; Charles Haymore (Ashley); nine grandchildren; Kaleb Haymore, Leia Haymore, Alyxis Haymore, Keagan Haymore, Tabitha Nicosia (Jeff), Elise Overstreet (J.W.), Allison Mastrangegelo (David), and Quinton Hammitt; and four great grandchildren; Evelyn Nicosia, Owen Nicosia, and Marvin Overstreet.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 2:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, with Pastor Mike Wiles officiating. A visitation will be held prior to service on the same day from 1-2:00pm, also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel.
