Catherine Hicks Snead

Catherine Hicks Snead, 99, of Vinton, VA, was called home on Monday, October 24, 2022 to be with the Lord and her husband of 75 years. Catherine supported her church as a long time member of Thrasher United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Vinton First Aid Crew. She loved her family, gospel music, and dessert. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma Hicks; 5 siblings; her loving spouse, Thomas Milton Snead, and 6 Sister-In-Loves.

Left behind to carry on her memory are her children, Thomas Milton Snead II and wife Brenda; Samuel Michael Snead; Deborah Snead Wright and husband Wayne; grandchildren are Robert Snead (Erica); Jason Snead (Alisa); Amber Urich (Joseph); and Sarah Justis (Greg); great-grandchildren are Allison, Emma, Stella, Kaidence, Bennett and Geneva, and Care giver and special friend - Mary Pugh.

Visitation is Wednesday 10/26 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday 10/27 @ 11:00 am. Visitation and services will be held at Vinton Lotz. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
