Cathy Ann Cofflin
Cathy Ann Miller Cofflin was born in Lyman, Mississippi on May 7, 1950 and died April 1, 2025 in her home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born as the third of four children to Pency and Alvin Miller. Cathy moved with her family to Cloverdale, Virginia as a young girl where she graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and continued her education at Cornette Business School. She spent her professional career working in the banking system, starting with Dominion Bank and completing her career at the Bank of Fincastle.
Cathy enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends, working on tractors and ATVs at her piece of land in Buchanan, baking goodies for her church family, organizing events with the Ridge Rifle Association, and laughing at the antics of her husband, daughter, and grandchildren.
Cathy leaves behind her husband of 31 years, Tim Cofflin; her daughter, Rachel Russell; her grandchildren, Leia, Gabe, Ben, and Owen; her sisters, Brenda Sweet and Rowan Miller; her best friend of 58 years, Linda Guffey; and a large, loving, loud group of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Pency Croy; her father, Alvin Miller; and her brother, Larry Miller.
Cathys family invites you to join us to celebrating her life at the St. Marks United Methodist Churchs Family Life Center (19 Cedar Ridge Rd Daleville, VA) this Saturday April 5 beginning at 12 noon. The family would like to give our thanks to Dr. David Cummings and Gentiva Hospice for their care.
