Ceanie D. Monroe Parks

Ceanie D. Moore Parks, 83, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Mulberry Creek Nursing Home. She was born August 8, 1939, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Harvey Millner and Clara Moore Millner. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, graduated from George Washington Carver High School and had worked for Gehrkens.
She enjoyed knitting, and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommie Murray and second husband, Sherman T. Parks; sisters, Roxie T. Shamburger, Linda Bell Lee and Mary Ann Millner Woods.

She is survived by her Godson, Christopher Lee; sister, Agnes J. (Quttia) M. Zigler; brothers, Harvey Theodore Millner (Vanessa) and Curry Lonte Millner (Janice); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 1:00 P. M. at Mt. Olive East Christian Church, 3611 Spencer Preston Road, Martinsville, Virginia with Pastor Junior Wimbush officiating.
