Charles Anthony Hughes

Charles Anthony Hughes, 77, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born to the late Joel Andrew Hughes and Lily Estelle Harbour Burkett. In addition to Charles’s parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Joel J. Hughes and Kenneth Hughes.

Charles attended Collinsville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Hughes; sons, Craig Hughes (Stefany) and Perry Hughes; grandchildren, Collin Hughes, Patric Hughes, Jake Hughes, Jackson Thornberry, Colton Hughes, and Cooper Hughes; great-grandchildren, Jared Hughes and Violet Grace Hughes; and brothers, David Hughes and Harvey Hughes.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The graveside service will be Wednesday, March 19, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Northfork Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 119 Sours Mill Rd., Martinsville, VA 24112. Pastor Payton Gilbert will be officiating the service.
