Charles "Charlie" Tracy Beard

Charles “Charlie” Tracy Beard, 72, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. He was born October 13, 1952, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late James Calvin Beard and Patricia Carey Beard.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Ann Beard.

Charlie graduated from Fieldale-Collinsville High School and received a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Management from Virginia Tech.

He was a co-owner of Bi-State Coil Winding for nearly forty-five years. He loved being outdoors and some of his favorite activities were golfing at Forest Park and boating, camping, and fishing at Philpott lake. He enjoyed watching football, basketball, and racing, and loved the Washington Commanders.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Eure Beard; daughter, Samantha Beard Ashley (Curt); sister, Linda B. Cline; and brother, Robert James Beard; five grandchildren, Xavier (Hayli), Zander, Yarlee, Karissa, and Branson.

In honor of his wishes, the family will have a private ceremony.
