Charles Devon Moore

Mr. Charles Devon Moore, 64, of Winston Salem, passed away peacefully Friday morning, December 12, 2025, at Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wilkesboro, NC. He was born June 9, 1961, in Surry County, to the late Charles Dempsey Moore and Peggy Ann Greene Moore. He was a computer engineer for Lowes Companies for several years, followed by working as an investment banker until retirement. Mr. Moore earned an Associate Degree from Surry Community College and later attended the University of South Carolina. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Allie Moore-Spry and Jeff Spry of Stanley, North Carolina; son, Evan Gray Moore of Richmond, Kentucky; grandson, Sonny James Spry of Stanley, North Carolina; two brothers, Randy Leon Moore, and Danny Ray Moore and wife Kristy, all of Mount Airy, several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Miles Wilson Greene and Mary Elizabeth Boles Greene; and his paternal grandparents, George and Lula Flinchum Moore. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00pm before the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
