Charles F. Lewis
Charles F. Lewis, 66, of Axton, Va. passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025. He was born July 25, 1959, in Martinsville, Va. to John Roy Lewis and Dora Prillaman Lewis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Brenda Heninger; nephew, Rick Foley; and great niece, Ashley Heninger.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Shoemaker Lewis; daughter, Heather Lewis Swanson (Eddie Bryant); grandchildren, Hayleigh Marie Swanson and Hettie Quinn Perdue; brother, Jimmy Ray Lewis (Carol);
nephew, John Lewis (Jamie); also, many great nieces and great nephews.
Charles loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his daughter and two granddaughters. He was the previous owner and operator of Chatmoss Cablevision, which he and his wife started. Charles was exceptional at electronics. He loved audio, video and computers. He was a member of Chatham Heights Baptist Church where he worked the sound board. He also had his own TV show which was Rt. 1 Bluegrass. He was an excellent bowler and really enjoyed coaching young people with bowling.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Chatham Heights Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm and will be officiated by Reverend Dr. Mike Hatfield. Interment will be in the Henry Memorial Burial Park.
