Charles Sloan

Charles Wayne Sloan, age 67, of South Point, Ohio and formerly, Clifton Forge, Va. passed away Friday, January 24, 2026 at Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Wayne was born on December 28, 1959 to the late Goldie Hite Sloan and Charles William Sloan. Along with other jobs, he worked at Rowe Furniture Company in Elliston, Va. He was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Clifton Forge, Va.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bryon Keith Sloan and Roger Dale Hite, and nephew Shane Jamison Hayslett.

He is survived by two sisters, Connie Sloan Johnson (Tommy) of Eagle Rock Va. and Charlotte Maxine Shipp of Bladenboro, NC. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Wayne was also survived by Janet Renae Casky, his life mate and caregiver.

In keeping with his wishes, his body was cremated and will be returned to Clifton Forge, Va. A Memorial Service and spreading of his ashes will take place during warmer weather.
