Charles "Stoney" William Stone

November 1, 1950 - May 30, 2025

Charles William Stone "Stoney", age 74, passed away peacefully at home in Snowville, VA on May 30th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, his five beloved children, three treasured daughters in law, six cherished grandchildren, and five special siblings. He was preceded in death by both his loving mother and father, and two siblings. 

Charles grew up in Park Forest Illinois. In his younger years, he was a talented drummer, playing through his teens and twenties. A man of many skills, he worked as both a carpenter and a mechanic. He later went on to build homes in Florida, leaving behind a legacy not only in structures but in the lives he touched. He proudly served his country as a carpenter in the U.S. Navy, stationed at the Naval Air Station Cecil Field in Jacksonville, Florida. He lived a rich and meaningful life, guided by a deep love for his family and a passion for helping others. 

Known for his kind spirit, Charles was a pillar of strength for his family. He took immense pride in his children and grandchildren and found true joy in supporting those around him. Charles always offered love, wisdom, and encouragement. He reminded those closest to him that life is supposed to be happy and promised to be an angel watching over them. 

He is now resting in the arms of Jesus, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
