Charlie Allen Campbell
Charlie “Chuck” Campbell, 66, of Salem, Virginia, cast his final line on Saturday, January 11, 2025, surrounded by his family.
In 38 years of owning and operating the Automotive Service Center, he turned many wrenches and made many friends. He worked hard to play hard so he could enjoy both his favorite things in life such as camping and fishing the Outer Banks of North Carolina, 4WD racing, and drag racing, and the simple things like cutting wood, mowing grass and throwin’ some back with friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Eula Osborne; as well as his father, Ben Campbell, Sr.
He is survived and cherished by his beloved mother, Phyllis Campbell; and his devoted love, Leeann Perdue. He is also loved and remembered by daughters, Erin and Keely Campbell; his bonus son, Jason Perdue and wife, Kacy; and grandchildren who knew him as “GrandChuck,” Knox and Sienna Perdue. Also surviving are his brothers, Ben Campbell and wife, Konomi, Morris Campbell, and John David Campbell and wife, Kathy.
Special appreciation is expressed to cousin and caregiver, Jason Arnold; and his longtime friend, Petie Kropff.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2 p.m., on the hill at Chuck’s house in pure Chuck fashion. BYOB and a chair to honor and cut up just how he did. If further information is needed, email Keely at Kcamp020@gmail.com.
