Charlie Thomas “Tommy” Guthrie, age 90 of Snow Creek, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Norene Guthrie; his parents, Jake and Alie Guthrie; his sister, Mae Parcell; his brothers, Buddy Guthrie Sr, Carl Guthrie, and Ernest Guthrie. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Frances Wilson and Thelma Martin; his two daughters, Brenda Harris and Kathy (Melvin) Orr; grandchildren, Sheila Mattingly, Benjamin Harris, Joseph (Ashley) Harris, Joshua Harris, Adam (Rachel) Orr, Richard (Nita) Orr, Miranda Keatts, Jordan (Elissa) Orr; 19 great-grandchildren; and many more nieces, nephews, and many more family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Friday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
