Charlotte McClung
Charlotte Louise Cahoon McClung, 90, of Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025. Born on May 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Earl G. Cahoon and Annie Tucker Cahoon.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. McClung; her son, Jimmy McClung; her daughter, Barbara McClung; her grandsons, Brandon and Dustin McClung; her brothers, Lloyd and Mac; and her sisters, Dorothy, Shirley Ann, and Clara Mae.
She is survived by her loving son, Gary McClung and his wife Kathy; her grandchildren, Steve Poole, Neil McClung and his wife Laurie, and Lauren Neighbors and her husband Devin; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Autumn Poole, Landon Poole, Ellie McClung, Dean McClung, Taelyn Woodard, Berkeley Neighbors, and Brody Neighbors. Charlotte also leaves behind her special niece, Jackie Stevens; her sisters-in-law, Eunice Kern, Joyce Shell, and Armeda Riley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Charlotte dedicated over 30 years of her life as a clerk bookkeeper at Southern States, where her hard work and dedication were deeply valued. She was a faithful member of Fincastle United Methodist Church, where her kindness and spirit touched many lives.
A visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Daleville on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place at Rader Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., with Minister Bill Hartsfield officiating. A burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
