Charmaine Reese

Freda “Charmaine” Reese, age 92, traveled to her heavenly home from her earthly home in Goode on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was devoted to GOD, His Word, her husband of 70 years, her family, church, employers, friends and her favorite Saturday breakfast spot, Koffee Kup.She was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, Wayne Reese, her parents George & Freda Ebersole, sister, Fay Gierer, and grandson, Justin Morcom. She is survived by her children, Nancy Sears (Danny) Glenn Reese (Victoria), Linda “Link” Hutchinson (Hutch); her brothers Danny (Donna), Bud and David (Pattie), grandchildren Betsy Hudson (Mark), Ryan Reese (Kristin) and great grandchildren, Mikayla Coleman (Keilan), Kage Reese and Chase Reese. She is also survived by her “sister”-in-law, Evelyn Schroder (Barry) and several nieces and nephews.Charmaine served side by side with Wayne in the pastorate in multiple States along with Chinese for Christ in Canada. She also shared herself as a cook at two Christian Camps, El Rancho de Paz and Miracle Mountain Ranch. She also worked full time as a kindergarten teacher, then as a Benefits Specialist in the States of PA and VA.Charmaine was both passionate and compassionate with a true love for people. She shared her gift of hospitality with a an open door to all…her home was your home. If she knew you had no family for the holiday, you would be eating with the Reeses.She also loved riding behind Wayne on the motorcycle, whether long trips to Maine & Nova Scotia with Link and Hutch, or just local day trips. And when their motorcycle days were over, they traded in the motorcycle for a red Mustang convertible, where Charmaine took the wheel and Wayne rode shotgun.A service to celebrate Charmaine’s life and faith will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel officiated by Pastor Rick Rasberry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Internment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
