Chase Azrael Garcia
Chase Azrael Garcia (13) of Blacksburg, VA made his transition into absolute peace this Halloween (October 31st, 2025). He passed without pain, without struggles, and surrounded by the purest love. Chase is survived by his parents Brittany Garcia and Adrian Garcia, grandmothers Priscilla Noel and Mary Moreno, grandfather Benjamin Garcia-Huerta, aunts Leigh Edmiston, Debbie Martinez and her husband Jesse, Nicole Linkous, Catherine Carter, Holly Noel, uncles Benjamin Garcia and his wife Eunice, Gilbert Martinez, Benjamin Huerta Garcia, Roman Noel, Brandon Bumbasi, Wayde Saffield, Justin Horne, & Scott Edwards, cousins Tommy Clarkson & Kamryn Edmiston. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Robert Noel, aunt Gloria Martinez, & cousin Mike Clarkson. Chase was a pure soul, a bright light in a world filled with darkness. A young man who would do absolutely anything to make someone laugh, be it a loved one or a stranger. He took joy in providing comfort and healing to anyone in need, and had hugs that would melt any heart. A true lover of music, he would enjoy singing his sweet heart out. He loved to appreciate the beauty in this world anywhere he could, with his presence amplifying everything around him. Chase made friends and stole hearts everywhere he went. A student who loved to learn and yearned to explore the world, his favourite subjects were history and reading. He loved video games, time with his friends. His favourite evenings were with his mother's homemade mac & cheese, and a TV binge with his parents. Chase fought bravely until the very end, defying odds every step of the way, never allowing his condition to let his smile or his loving heart falter. Chase won his battle, for his body may have lost, but his beautiful spirit grew brighter than ever." Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal Turner officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm before the service.
