Cheryl Stockton Hairston

Cheryl Hairston, 62, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born March 14, 1961, to the late Edna Stockton and Annie Lee Morrison Stockton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Blumer Hodge, Hope Hodge, and Marie Hodge; brothers, Willie June Dallas, Howard Martin, and Daniel Martin.

Cheryl attended Integrity Life Ministries in Martinsville, Virginia where she served as an usher. She enjoyed cooking, specifically for the church. In her free time, she enjoyed singing, bowling, and supporting the Dallas Cowboys.

She is survived by her husband, Tracy Benjamin Hairston; daughter, Latoya Smith (Gray); sons, Anthony Redd and James Swanson; sisters, Gladys Young, Anna Carter, and Helen Noel.

The funeral will be Friday, January 26, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Dwight Mack and Vincent Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Stockton Family Cemetery. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service.
