Chester A. Garlick

Chester Augusta Garlick, age 79, of Henry Virginia, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was born to the late James and Ethel Garlick Thursday, August 25, 1943. Chester was preceded in death by his granddaughters; Emma Katherine Ausburne, Lily Lynette Beuel. He is survived by his wife; Carol Garlick, children; Amy Lynette Garlick and Cynthia Irene Garlick, grandsons; Thomas Ausburne and Henry Beuel, granddaughter; Virginia Lou Beuel, sisters; Charlotte Kidd, Wanda Wiser, Gayle Gray (Steve), Jane Murphy (Reggie), brothers; Jimmy Garlick (Michelle), Michael Garlick, brother-in-law; Steve Thomas (Kay), sister-in-law; Barbara Tatum along with numerous nieces and nephews. Chester retired from Lowes as a cabinet installer and was a member of Prillaman Missionary Baptist Church. He was an accomplished Eagle Scout (Order of the Arrow) and participated with Carpenters for Christ. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2023 with Pastor Mike Magnani and Rev. Barry Cundiff officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
