Christine Riveria Crowder Wilson

Christine Riveria Crowder Wilson, 64, of Salem, Virginia, and formerly of both New Castle, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Edward Eugene and Anna Lorraine Crowder; sisters, Carla and Lilly; and daughter, Christine Mae Compton.

Her surviving family includes her children, Eddie Garey (Nikki), Mary Baer, Ivie Will (Chris), Randy Baer (Natalie), Anna Blankenship (Allen), David Compton, and Jeremiah McComas (Leo); grandchildren, Moses, Autumn, Isaiah, Micah, Christopher, January, Felicity, Christopher (Morgan), Shianna, Damien, Nevaeh, Journey, Jolena, Aiden, Harper, Nicholas, Kyler, David Lee, Legacy, Serenity, and Legend; extra special grandson, David Compton; great-grandchildren, Collin, Spencer, Quinton, Axell, and Miles; siblings, Thomas Crowder (Stacey), Tonya Crowder (Paul), and Angela Hernandez-Crowder (Ulises); and several nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital’s 10 Mountain ICU as well as the ER nurses for their loving care.

A celebration of Christine’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Grace Assembly of God located at 5530 Catawba Valley Drive in Catawba, Virginia 24070, with Rev. Lorraine Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
