Clara Ann Hambrick Dalton

Clara Ann Hambrick Dalton “Scooter”, age 75 of Penhook passed away Monday, March 2, 2026. She was born November 25, 1950, daughter of the late Charlie and Ella Hambrick. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Charles Hambrick, Roy Hambrick and Joe Hambrick; and sister, Mary Young. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Lawrence Dalton; daughters, Misty Hall and DeeDee Dalton; special granddaughter, Chelsea Hylton; grandchildren, Chris Maxey, Savannah Hall and Hailie Hall; great-grandchildren, Weston Hylton and Lainey Hylton; brothers, Tom Hambrick, P.D. Hambrick and Carl Hambrick; sisters, Bonnie and Jake Washburn, Judy Brooks, Doris Bowles, Juanita Wright and Helen Bolling; sisters-in-law, Sarah Hambrick and Bernice Hedrick; brother-in-law, Danny Young; numerous nieces and nephews. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her flowers and being outdoors, reading, bluegrass music, and cooking. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Perdue Family Cemetery (Route 40, Union Hall, VA). Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
