Clara Belle Pettry

Clara Belle Pettry, 77, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born March 1, 1945, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Everette Lee Conner and Hattie Hubbard Conner. Clara was employed by Stanley Furniture and formerly attended New Life Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Byrd M. Pettry; and brother, Roger Conner. She is survived by her daughter, Ramona “Lynn” Stone; sister, Reva Harris; grandchildren, Jessica Alley-Cox, Tina Alley, Carrie Alley; great grandchildren, Brook Griffin, Peyton Cox, Hunter Amos, Seth Davis, Nazia Bridges, and Michael Gulledge. Per Clara’s request, no services will be held. Memorials can be made to, MHC Warming Center, Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, 725 Beechnut Lane, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
