Clara Faye Arrington

Clara Faye Arrington, 86, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Duke University Hospital. She was born on January 26, 1939, in Rocky Mount, VA to the late James W. Hodges and Nannie Pearl Richards Hodges. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her four sisters, and her son-in-law, Teddy Nelson, Sr.

She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and a loving mother and grandmother. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Duke University Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Faye.

Surviving are her children, Donna Nelson, James Arrington and John Arrington; grandchildren, Teddy Nelson, Jr., Joshua Nelson, Sr, Steven Nelson, James Arrington, Jr., Destiny Arrington, Zackery Arrington, and Cailyn Arrington; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Morris Tench officiating.
