Clara Marie Craig Goard

Clara Marie Craig Goard, 85, of Stuart, VA passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born on April 8, 1939 to the late Rufus Green Craig and Mary Lou Sawyers Craig. In addition to her family she is predeceased by her husband Billy Goard, Sr.; and brothers, Arlis Craig, Grady Craig and David Craig.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Hughes (Junior) of Stuart; sons, Timothy Goard (Norma) of Stuart, VA and Billy Goard Jr. (Michelle) of Clayton, NC; grand-children, Barbara Lee (Matthew) of Virginia Beach, VA, Shannon Wood of Fieldale, VA, Cheyenne Hughes of Raleigh, NC, and Megan Goard of Clayton, NC; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Iva Dale Beavers (Joseph) of Ridgeway, VA, Sue Godbee of Patrick Springs, VA, and Dorothy Holt of Martinsville, VA; and special friend, Joan Turner.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Norris Funeral Services Stuart Chapel. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Chaplain Jeffrey Pendleton will be officiating the service.
