Clarence Samuel Moses

Clarence Samuel Moses, Sr., 94, of Rustburg passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was the son of the late Ernest Moses and Zelma Wade Moses.

Born June 15, 1931, Clarence was known for his love of the outdoors, having spent his younger years hunting and fishing, just enjoying every moment in the sun he could. He was also known for his joy in visiting Dollywood when the opportunity arose, relishing the time he could spend with his family. Though Clarence lived a simple life, his lasting memory will not soon be forgotten by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents Clarence was preceded in passing by his siblings.

Those left to cherish Clarence’s memory include his wife Delores Sylvia Carwile Moses; his children Wanda Snowden and her husband Herbert, Clarence Samuel Moses, Jr. and his wife Beverly, Roger Lee Moses and his wife Anne; his brother Harry “Dickie” Moses; and several grandchildren.

A celebration of Clarence’s life will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at New Chapel Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Tim Dooley, at 2pm. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
