Clark Cochran

Mr. Clark Wilson "Willie" Cochran, Jr., age 89, of Covington died Monday, December 11, 2023, at his residence. He was the husband of Brenda Joyce Jones Cochran to whom he was married to for sixty-one years.
Mr. Cochran was born November 1, 1934 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Clark Wilson Cochran, Sr. and Rosie Richmond Cochran. Willie served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1953 until 1957 and was stationed on the USS Bushnell, USS Orion, USS Gilmore as a tailor. Following his military service, Mr. Cochran was employed by the former Hercules and AET for thirty-five years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cochran was a member of Covington Masonic Lodge #171 A.F. & A.M. Willie enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, Brenda, Mr. Cochran is survived by a son, Dennis Lee Cochran of Bolivia, NC and a daughter, Lisa Dawn Cochran of Roanoke.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his stepfather, Russell Richmond.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2023 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating, assisted by Chris Fisher. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Masonic rites will be conducted by Covington Masonic Lodge #171 A.F. & A.M.
Pallbearers will be members of Covington Masonic Lodge #171 A.F & A.M.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 P.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
