Claude Colman Meadows

Claude Colman Meadows, 74, passed away peacefully April 25, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Claude was born in Danville, VA on May 20, 1949, to the late Nancy Frances Motley Meadows and the late Claude Swanson Meadows. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Sylvia Busby Meadows.Claude was of a Member of Church of God Worldwide Association. He worked for many years in the construction business for Blair Construction. He had a special love for playing the piano which he very much enjoyed.Claude is survived by two sons; Claude C. Meadows Jr. and wife Lisa of Haw River, NC and Michael Meadows of Chatham, VA; a brother; David Tommy Meadows and wife Dianne of Chatham, VA; eight grandchildren; Summer Meadows, Madison Meadows, Katelyn Meadows, Breanna Meadows, Brandon Meadows, Mikayla Meadows, Alyssa Meadows, and Tyler Burgess; and one great grandchild; Preston Bugger.In addition to his parents, Claude was predeceased by a son; Kevin Meadows; and a sister; Anita Hope Doss.A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 3:00pm at Norris Funeral Services, Chatham Chapel, 147 S. Main Street, Chatham, VA with Pastor Larry Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at Sheva Church of Christ Cemetery, at 4920 Chalk Level Road, Chatham, VA 24531. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 2-3:00pm also at Norris Chatham Chapel.
