Clay Smith

Clay Alan Smith, 71, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at his residence. He was born January 30, 1953, to the late Floyd Jackson Smith, and Ruby Edna Anderson Smith.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Peggy Jean Smith; and brother, Roy Wayne Smith.Clay proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed fishing with his father and brother on Sunday’s, loved horseshoes, gardening, and enjoying a cold beer every once and awhile. He was a big football and NASCAR fan.He is survived by brother, Clint Jackson Smith; niece, Tonya Smith; and nephew, Chris Smith.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
