Clifford Ivan Fariss

Mr. Clifford Ivan Fariss, age 68, Cana, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Mr. Fariss was born on June 22, 1957, in Surry County, to the late Posey Clarence Fariss and Delphia Jane Goad Fariss. He was a loving brother, uncle, sibling and friend, he’ll be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mr. Fariss was a longtime truck driver for Hardy Brothers trucking company and Fariss Towing. Left to cherish Mr. Fariss’s memories are his sisters, Dorthy Hill, Judy Edwards; stepsister, Linda Macko; stepbrother, Earl Hunter; sisters-in-law, Shelby Fariss, Donna Fariss; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; special great niece, Alexandra Luna; special great nephew, Owen Haynes. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fariss was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gloria Fariss; sister, Idell Browder; brothers, Bobby Fariss, Josh Fariss; stepbrother, Larry Hunter; nephew, Bradley Sawyers; great nephew, Mikle Dixon, Jr. A funeral service to honor Mr. Fariss’s life will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Pilot View Baptist Church 887 Pilot View Road, Hillsville, Virginia 24343, with the Rev. Scotty Bullins officiating. Burial will follow at Worrell Memorial Cemetery 1201 Worrell Memorial Road, Laurel Fork, VA 24352. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Pilot View Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Fariss family.
