Clifford “Jim” Hardy Chittum, 90, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gracie Chittum; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Chittum; daughter, Anna Deering (David) and granddaughter Gabby; daughter, Theresa Jennings (Richard) and 2 grandsons; brother, Richard Chittum (Sarah); and several nieces and nephews.
A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 1:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home (Peters Creek), with a Visitation one hour prior from 12:00 – 1:00pm.
Jim served in the United States Army in the Korean war. He went on to serve for 10 years and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant.
