Clifford Wayne Wilson

Clifford Wayne Wilson, age 81 of Chatham, VA passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at SOVAH health in Danville, VA. Mr. Wilson was born June 23, 1942 in Detroit, MI to the late Walter Wilson and the late Elinor Sintz Wilson. He was married to Barbara Finkbeiner Wilson.

Mr. Wilson graduated from Michigan State University as an electrical engineer and obtained his MBA. He worked for IBM as a development engineer for 30 years before his retirement. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He loved and found great joy working on his farm, yet, most of all he was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to everyone who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife of the residence, he is survived by one daughter, Dr. Laura Wilson Murray, and her husband Spencer; two grandchildren, Ellie Murray and Preston Murray; and one sister, Ronilee Wilson Childress.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by one daughter, Jennifer Ann Wilson; and one sister, Shauna Wilson Dorman.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Service, Chatham Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, VA. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Service, Chatham Chapel. At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
