Clifton Ray Williams

Clifton Ray Williams, 59, of Cascade, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024. He was born February 12, 1965, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Willie Williams and Leonia Mae Pritchett Williams.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Carolyn Williams and Gyrlie Terry.Clifton attended Bethel Way Church of Christ and graduated from Tunstall High School. He was affectionately nicknamed Rufus by all his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and loved his nieces and nephews dearly; Rufus was considered to be the best baby sitter around.He is survived by sons, Dakota Ray Williams and Joshua O’Brian Williams; sisters, Maggie Williams (David), Julia Goolsby (Raymond), Tammy Devins (Lewis), and Shelia Mitchell (Ronnie); brothers, Calvin Williams (Delta), Ronnie Willimas (Eileen), Eric Williams (Kena), Barry Peatross, and Herman Martin.The funeral will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Bethel Way Church of Christ, 11560 Mt. Cross Road, Danville, Virginia 24054 with Bishop John A. Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Pritchett Family Cemetery, 1312 West Fork Road, Cascade, Virginia 24069. A visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service. There will be a floating visitation on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
