Colton Edward Stinson
Colton Edward Stinson, age 31 of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Colton was born March 1, 1993 in Lynchburg, Virginia to Terrell Stinson and the late Debbie Ann Stinson.
He was a 2015 honor graduate of James Madison University and a 2011 graduate of Amherst County High School during which time he was a star soccer player and very involved with numerous theatre performances. He was self- employed as a Long -Term Care Insurance Specialist. Colton will always be remembered as a kindhearted and loving son, brother, uncle, and grandson. He treasured spending time with his family and friends. He was also, an avid music lover and traveled the country enjoying numerous venues while dressed in his favorite tie-dyed tee shirts. His personality drew in every person he met, his smile and laugh were so infectious. Colton was a lovely light and everyone he touched will feel his loss so deeply and will forever miss him.
In addition to his dad, he is survived by his stepmother, Teresa Stinson; his brother, Brandon Adams Stinson and his wife Anna; his beloved niece, Margaret Ann “Maisie” Stinson; and grandparents, Charlie and Dorothy Clements and Wyatt and Norma Jean Stinson. He is also survived by an aunt, Pam S. Boydoh and husband Mitchell; uncle, Tim Clements and wife, Juliett; cousins, Andrew Boydoh and wife, Bella, Paul Boydoh and wife Tiffany; Holden Clements, Mallory Clements, Addison Clements, special friends, Dave, Hanna, and Jorena, and his beloved cat, Max.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Driskill Funeral Chapel in Amherst, VA on October 26th at 1:00 PM. The family will recieve friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In honor and in remembrance of Colton, everyone attending the Celebration of Life Service is encouraged to wear their tie-dyed shirts. Following the service, The Celebration of Colton’s life will continue for all friends who would like to join the family at Blue Mountain Barrel House & Smoking Barrel Restaurant, 495 Cooperative Way, Arrington VA.
