Conelia Sifford

Conelia Sifford, 89, passed away on February 28, 2025, in Palm Bay, Florida, with her family by her side. Born in Montgomery County, Virginia on July 21, 1935, to the late George E. and Lillian Icy Phillips Jarrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” the love of her life for 68 years; two sisters, Peggy Jarrell Sifford and Bonnie Jarrell Bennett; a brother Delmon E. Jarrell; and a brother-in-law Emerson Rudacille. Surviving are two daughters, Glenna Sifford and Brenda Destefano; one grandson Brandon Walker; one granddaughter Marina Destefano and wife Nancy Destefano all of Palm Bay, Florida; one sister Janice Rudacille of Front Royal, Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law Larry and Nancy Jarrell of Hampton, Virginia; a sister-in-law Don Bennett; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews. She leaves behind lots of friends in Virginia, and friends in Florida, Shirley McAuley and Mo McCarthy, that helped care for her. She worked in Montgomery County schools for 19 years. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
