Connie Ann Morton
Connie Ann Morton, 50, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned from this earthly life Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was born January 12, 1975, in Landstuhl, Germany to Roger Allen Fain (Diane) and Linda Bea Wright Wheatley.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose-Ann Fain and stepfather, Gary Wayne Wheatley; paternal grandparents, Mary Lorene Fain and Jesse Alvis Fain; maternal grandparents, Mary Lou and Louis Floyd Johnston.
Connie was of the Pentecostal faith and woman who left a legacy of love to everyone who knew her. She attended Magna Vista High School and was a hard worker. She worked most recently at Southern Finishing Company as a rough mill clerk, where she was a dedicated employee for eight years. Anyone who met Connie found her to be a lady who was a giver and a person who would help anyone in need. She was a lover, daughter, sister, fighter, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She had a vibrant personality, often being described as spunky and feisty. Connie enjoyed crocheting and collecting knick-knacks. Her favorite collection pieces were things that represented her Native American interests. However, of all the things she possessed, what meant the most to her were the people she poured her love and care into throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Zachary Wilson (Katlyn), Cody Jarrell (Krissi), Charles Morton; sister, Wendy Fain Lawson (John); special nephew, Joseph Fain (Savannah); grandchildren, Melody Wilson, Peyton Wilson, Caiden Wilson; her very special companion, Daniel Johnson; and grandpups, Waylon, Kasey, Skoop, and Bean.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Gary Shupe and Harold Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Conner Family Cemetery, located at Mountain View Drive, Meadows of Dan, Virginia, 24120. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
