Connie Rodgers East

Connie Rodgers East, 69, of Bassett, Va passed away at Sovah Health in Martinsville, Va on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was born on April 10, 1956 to the late Verlie Mae Martin and John S. Deal. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Rodgers.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and was in health care until she retired. Connie’s whole world was family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Surviving are her husband, Philip East of the home, one daughter, Angela Brummfield of North Carolina, two sons, Stacey Rodgers of Bassett, VA, Kevin Peters of Ferrum, Va, one sister, Sylvia Nelson of Indiania, one brother, Ronnie Deal of Asheboro, NC, thirteen grand-children and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday February 6, 2026 at Norris Funeral Services in Stuart, Va. Burial will be at a later date due to weather.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Norris Chapel
