Crystal Jerlene Harrison

Crystal Jerlene Harrison, 92, entered her eternal rest Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Martinsville, Virginia. She was born July 9, 1932, to the late Samuel Earles and Alice Hopkins Earles in Fieldale, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Louis Harrison; daughter, Teresa Harrison; sons, Chris Harrison, Barry Harrison; sisters, Trudy, Vera, and Edna.

Crystal was of the Christian faith, and a member of Mica Road Baptist Church. She retired from Bassett Walker where she worked for many years in the textile industry. She found enjoyment in the beauty of nature and could often be found planting flowers or gardening. She was known for the wonderful meals she prepared. Some of the things that brought her joy were listening to music by Elvis and watching her favorite television shows such as Roy Rogers, Andy Griffith, and soap operas. Most of all, she loved her family above everything else. The love she gave each of them will leave an indelible imprint on their hearts.

The legacy of love she left behind will not be forgotten by those who were blessed to know her. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Clyde Harrison, James Randy Harrison, Roger Harrison (Jan), Steve Harrison, and David Harrison; sisters, Lorene, and Shirley; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery, 5232 Preston Road, Martinsville, Virginia, 24112. The memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service Bassett Chapel, 1230 Oak Level Road, Bassett, Virginia. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
