Curtis Clifford Bryant
Curtis Clifford Bryant, 90, of Martinsville, VA, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, peacefully at his residence. He was born on March 4, 1933, to the late Jesse C. Bryant and Nannie M. Helms Bryant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dollie K. Bryant; second wife, Pam P. Bryant; five brothers, and six sisters.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956, then the U.S. National Guard from 1956-1965. He was the Co-owner of Bryant’s Plumbing & Heating Incorporated. After his retirement, he worked for Blue Ridge Remodeling Heating & Air Incorporated with his son, Mike. He also volunteered at Sovah Health- Martinsville which brought him so much joy.
Curtis is survived by three daughters, Lynn Bryant Boles (Kenny), Cheryl B. Mullins (J.L.), and Tammy J. Bryant; a son, Michael C. Bryant (Pam); grandchildren, Chris Bryant (Kim), Jackson Mullins, Heather Lankford (Sid), Samantha Aaron (Jon), Tyler Caudle, and Erica Williams(Grayson); great-grandchildren, Mason, Addisyn, Carter, Harper, and Griffin; special friend and companion, Faye Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service chapel with Rev. Terry St. John and Deacon Jack Horsley officiating. Burial will be at the Bryant Family Cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. The family will also receive friends at Curtis’s home on Wednesday, 350 Woodlawn Ave, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
