Curtis G. Finney

Curtis Finney lost his battle with cancer at 10:28 p.m. at 76 years of age.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Dollie Finney, daughter, Stacy Finney.  He is survived by and leaves behind his soulmate, Donna G. Finney of 56 years of marriage in Georgia; son, Kevin Finney and fiancée, Kimmy Sigmon and grandson, Bryce Finney of Virginia; brother, Jim and Karen Finney of North Carolina; very special niece, Kristin and TY Gerberding, Kira Gerberding and Kylie Gerberding of Kansas; many other family members that are so very special.

Curtis’s life was rewarding with all the special people he met during his journey.  He had many high school friends and neighbors in Penn Forest and Stratford Place.  He and Donna enjoyed camping at Alta Mons and other campgrounds in Virginia. He made many dear friends while working at Norfolk Southern Railroad, which lead them to Georgia.  He enjoyed playing tennis in Ruby Forest and Deaton Creek where they lived.  All these people are extended family to him.

The family will receive family and friends for visitation on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to Noon at Lotz Funeral Home, 1330 East Main Street, Salem, VA
