Cynthia Ann Hatchett

Cynthia Ann Hatchett, 67, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024. She was born February 7, 1957, in Martinsville, Virginia to Nancy Tuggle Faw and the late Maynard Overby.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brothers, Maynard Owen Overby, Jr., Thomas Allen Hollandsworth, and Dwayne Hollandsworth.Cynthia truly loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to have fun and even had a feisty side to her personality. She enjoyed riding the motorcycle with Rodney and enjoyed settling down with a good book. She enjoyed traveling, loved visiting Daytona and traveling to visit friends and family. She loved sharing her daughter’s birthday stories, that they were born the same day four years apart with less than an hour’s difference in birth time.She is survived by her husband, Rodney Hatchett; daughters, Janette Hall (Brad) and Jackie Klimaski (Joe); grandson, Ryan Hall; great granddaughter, Rayne Hall; and many friends.The funeral will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor A.C. Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Koger Family Cemetery at 154 Wilson Mill Road Bassett, VA 24055.
