Dale Mason

Sherman “Dale” Mason, age 43 of Snow Creek, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024. He was born October 19, 1980, in Roanoke, Virginia to Bill Mason and Kathy Palmer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert “Bob” & Arnita Furrow Mason and Alfred & Pearl Law. Dale loved his family more than anything and was an amazing father and husband. Dale was passionate about hunting and loved to be in nature with his family. He was sought out by others for his wisdom in the Lord and His Word. If you knew him, you were blessed. Dale was employed by VDOT and he attended and faithfully served First Baptist Church of Collinsville. Dale is survived by his wife, Jessica Craven Mason; and children, Sawyer Logan and Naomi Grace; his father, Bill Mason (Mildred); mother, Kathy Palmer (Mike); brother, Andy Mason (Michelle); sister-in-law, Betsy Mason; father and mother-in-law, Greg and Shirley Craven; brother-in-law, Jeremy Craven (Stacy); and a niece; four nephews; and aunts and uncles. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount. The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Collinsville with Pastor Larry Cheek officiating. Graveside will be at Franklin Clearview Cemetery in Rocky Mount immediately following the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
