Dallas Millard Horton

Mr. Dallas Millard Horton, age 91, of Cana, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. He was born on August 3, 1934 in Carroll County to the late Houston and Carrie Eastridge Horton. Mr. Horton was a retired Truck Driver and proudly served our country in the United States Army. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Tony Horton (Susan); grandchildren, Christopher Horton, Carrie Vass (T.C.); great-grandchildren, Lillian Vass, and Oaklee Vass; sisters, Juanita Sumner, Shirley Harrold. In addition to his parents Mr. Horton was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Roger Dewey Sumner, and Jason Harrold. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11am at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Gary Easter. Burial will follow in Mountain Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am until the time for the service at the funeral home.
