Dallas Neal Frazier

April 2, 1941 - February 10, 2026

Dallas Neal Frazier (known to family and friends as “GaGa”) went home to be with the Lord in eternal rest on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born in Roanoke, Virginia on April 2, 1941, he graduated from Jefferson High School before joining the Navy as a Meteorology and Oceanography Technician,serving at the Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis, under John F. Kennedy’s presidency. During his 4 year military tour, Dallas also completed college courses at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia before returning to Roanoke to work for Appalachian Power Company. Within a short period, he was hired as an Operations Manager Trainee for Nabisco and then was assigned his own branch in Charleston, South Carolina, where he continued employment with them for 32 years.

After retirement in 2000, Dallas returned to his hometown of Roanoke to be closer to his family. An automobile enthusiast and 50’s memorabilia collector, he was also an active volunteer at his church, Waverly Place Baptist, as well as his children’s and grandchildren’s schools for many years.

Dallas was a devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, his sister, Patricia Simmons, his daughter, Susan and her husband Daryl, his son, Darryl, his grandchildren, Brandon Chocklette and his wife Stephanie, Britton Chocklette and his wife Lexi, Ashleigh Jones and her husband Charlie, Austin Frazier, Bralyn Snead, Dylan Snead, Haley Snead, and great grandchildren, Michael Chocklette, Brynleigh Chocklette, Briar Chocklette and Addison Snead.

A Celebration of Life for Dallas Neal Frazier will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5731 Airport rd. Roanoke, VA 24012, on Saturday, February 14, Valentine’s Day, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
